We offer a 6 week course for parents, teachers, and any adults wishing to work with children. This program teaches mentors how to aid children as they go through the grieving process, as well as how to teach and exemplify proper grieving methods throughout their lives. Applications are extensive, such as friendships lost, the loss of a loved one, divorce, moving to a new school, aging grandparents, the loss of a pet, normal changes that come with growing up, separation anxiety, depression, not making the team they wanted or getting into the class they had hoped to be in...the list goes on and on.
The younger children are when they learn correct tools to dealing with things in life, the higher their chances become for finding succcess, making healthy choices, and a enjoying a happier life.
It's never too early, and it's never too late!
This is a one time class that is offered each month. You can also request to offer the class at your school, church, business, function, or event.
The class goes over what is being taught in homes and in society that is causing our children to have unresolved grief, thus leading to later life (or present life) problems such as depression-like symptoms, eating disorders, difficulty with bullying, suicide, relationship and friendship difficulties, disobedience in the home and school settings, and more. The class offers what tools are needed to teach our children and students so that they may learn early in life how to handle, not just cope, with the many changes, challenges, and losses that may come in life. We teach the adults how to go out into the world and into the home and implement this healthy way of processing and completing grief. Remember...EVERY change and loss brings about grief. Help children know what to do with that grief so that they may move forward better than ever.
As Grief Recovery Specialists, we do not work with children. We work only with adults to teach them the tools to begin to implement with the children, as well as in their own lives as examples to these children. Through experience and extensive research, we have found that this is the most effective way to help children, as well as better prepare future generations.
